Today, I've join people in University of Technology PETRONAS who really love knowledge n wish to expand their horizon of understanding about how knowledge has been manipulated by the Western people that made us the Muslim people were so dependable to their bank of knowledge. It's undeniable that Muslim people nowadays are so lagging in scientific, finance, economy knowledge. Though there were small number me people attended the discussion, but these were the people who really want a change in global Ummah from being Western centric in everything to what Allah has given to us in the Al-Quran. The reason to the birth of the discourse was the people of western were so corrupted in their moral values that made them became ignorance of the existance of god although they were the people who discovered great scientific findings which later they confused themselves as to why the Universe, human being and life even existed. They have become so corrupted yet we still uphold their standards n values. We, muslims people are labeled not on par with them if we use other standards which is much can be seen in practise in economy, finance and even in higher education sector.
But, not all what they introduced were bad things that make us should abandon them all together but it just that we should make use something that is useful to us, find the meaning of the knowledge and relate it back to the Creator. That really help us strengthen our faith, iman to Allah rather than to learn something but we just learn it for the sake of fulfilling the course or job requirement. Even though there were a lot more to be discussed here but I think what has been mentioned so far is sufficient and useful in gaining basic understanding what the topic was really about. This discussion is to be held every week and it is opened to every one who are living in UTP or the public and any people from other universities as well. All of you are welcomed to join the discourse which will help regain our reign as the best Ummah as what has been promised by Allah s.w.t.
